Cancellation of PML-N Registration: ECP adjourns hearing until Nov 15

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of the case for cancellation of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) registration and barring former premier Nawaz Sharif from political activities. A three-member bench of the ECP headed by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sardar Raza Khan heard the case. Jahangir Jadoon, the counsel of the PML-N appeared before the tribunal but Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawyer babar Awan failed to appear before the bench. Presenting his arguments, the PML-N lawyer said that Nawaz Sharif has again been elected party president under Election Bill article 203. He prayed the tribunal to dispose of the application. The ECP said that the decision would be announced in the next hearing after hearing the arguments of other lawyers. The hearing was adjouorned until November 15.
