Cannot turn blind eye to plight of Karachi people, says PM

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Monday said that he cannot turn a blind eye to the plight of the Karachi people and fully aware about the problems of residents in the city. According to the details, a meeting under the chair of the prime minister was held on the problems of Karachi people. Minister for Planning Asad Umar, federal minister Ali Zaidi and Sindh Governor Imran Ismail attended the meeting through video link. The meeting was also attended by National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Chairman Lt Gen Muhammad Afzal and officials from the concerned ministries.  The briefed PM Khan in detail about “Karachi Transformation Plan” which has been formulated keeping in view the developmental needs of the city. On the occasion, the premier said that progress of the country is linked to the development of Karachi. "I am fully aware about the problems of Karacities over the years," he added. PM Khan also assured that the federation will play its utmost role for development of Karachi.
