As per details, Safdar was presented before the Accountability Court. The medical team of NAB declared him healthy. After a short hearing, the convict was taken to the jail amid tight security. Earlier on Monday, Capt (r) Safdar was brought to NAB’s Rawalpindi office. Security was tightened outside the Federal Judicial Complex in G-11 sector of Islamabad, where the accountability court is situated. On Sunday, the former PM’s son-in-law surrendered in Rawalpindi. On Friday An accountability court sentenced Nawaz Sharif to 10 years, Maryam Nawaz to 7 years and Captain Safdar to 1 year in prison for corrupt practices linked to his family’s purchase of upscale London flats.
