Careem driver killed in car snatching attempt

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Sajawal Ameer, a Careem driver, was killed in a car snatching incident on Monday night, the app-based ride-hailing service said in a statement on Tuesday. Police said Ameer was shot several times before the car was taken away in the Naseerabad area. The driver was taken to a hospital where he later passed away. Naseerabad police said that the vehicle had a tracker installed which shut down its engine so that the car snatchers were forced to abandon the car and flee. The car has been recovered. The robbers also took away the cash and mobile phones from the driver.
