ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Caretaker ministers have expressed their satisfaction over peaceful conduct of the elections.

Addressing a joint press conference on Friday, Caretaker Interior Gohar Ijaz said that there were intelligence reports about terrorist attacks on the polling day. "Protection of citizens is our top priority. There would have been a threat to several lives if any mistake was made," he added.

He said that there results would have been zero had their intention was not good.

Caretaker Information Minister Murtaza Solangi said that 56 incidents occurred on the polling day and three Pak Army and two Levies personnel embraced martyrdom. "The nation is proud of the security officers. We hope the elections will be the basis of the prosperity of the people. The next government will bring prosperity," he maintained.
