LAHORE (92 News) – A case on Tuesday have been registered against PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz and her husband Captain (rtd) Safdar at Shahdara police stations in Lahore.

According to the details, a complaint was registered under Punjab Sound Act at Shahdara police station, booking Maryam Nawaz, Captain (r) Safdar, Pervaiz Malik, Malik Riaz, Saif-ul-Malook and 2200 unknown persons.

The case was lodged over violating coronavirus SOPs, provoking speeches and road blocking for going to attend Gujranwala rally.

On the other hand, an first information report (FIR) has been lodged against the organisers of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Gujranwala rally.

A case has been registered against 100 organisers of PDM's Gujranwala rally in Gujranwala for violations of standard operating procedures (SOPs), formulated to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus and blocking of roads.

The case has been registered in Civil Lines police station on the complaint of the government. The PML-N leaders including Khurram Dastgir, Mahmood Bashir Wirk and Salman Khalid Butt have been nominated in the case. No arrest has been made yet.

On October 17, the PDM held its first rally as part of a countrywide anti-government campaign in Gujranwala in which the core message was that double standards would not cut it: there had to be accountability for anyone accused of corruption, not just the opposition. The rally was held at Jinnah Ground.
