Cases filed against joint opposition including Shehbaz over Lahore rally

LAHORE (92 News) – A case on Friday has been registered in Civil Lines Police Station against the joint opposition for holding rally on Lahore’s Mall Road on July 25. According to the reports, Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader Qamaruz Zaman Kaira and many other joint opposition leaders were nominated in the case. As many as nineteen hundreds leaders and party workers of Joint opposition were booked in the FIR and 50 of them nominated. The FIR was lodged under tens sections including loss of governmental assets and violation of Sound Act, Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CPC) among other ten sections. A day earlier, PML-N and other opposition parties organized a public gathering on Mall Road without permission of administration. Addressing a big rally at the Charing Cross on Thursday, Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has said that they will hold Prime Minister Imran Khan accountable for his each act. He said that he and Nawaz Sharif will always remain the servants of the masses. “Nawaz Sharif will stage a comeback and build Pakistan,” he declared. The PML-N president said that the people from Lahore and Karachi have stood against the government. “A bread was sold at Rs5 in the Nawaz era and now it is being sold at Rs15,” he said. Shehbaz Sharif said that a government established on the basis of lies, deception and mere allegations could not run. “The worst revenge is being taken in the name of accountability,” he said. He said that Nawaz Sharif committed the crime of removing darkness from the country. He expressed the resolve to make Orange Line Train operational. “Imran Khan used to say that he will not approach the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He also used to say will not give the NRO,” he said. The PML-N leader said that his party had given innumerable sacrifices for the country. “We also saw the tenure of Pervez Musharraf and also saw the jails,” he added.
