CCI forms committee to review draft of national electricity plan 2021

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Council of Common Interests (CCI) has constituted a committee to review the draft of national electricity plan 2021.

The 46th meeting of the CCI was held under the chair of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan in which the draft of national electricity policy 2021 was discussed in detail.

The committee will review the draft at its next meeting and present a report. The Sindh chief minister raised the issue of power load shedding in the province. The meeting decided to form a committee to further consider the policy.

The committee will review the policy and present a final draft. The committee is comprising the finance minister, energy minister, law minister, special assistant for power and provincial chief ministers.

According to sources, important issues including water, electricity and gas were also discussed during the meeting while the Sindh chief minister raised the issue of load shedding in the province. The next meeting of CCI will be held on Monday, June 21.
