LAHORE (92 News) – Due to the current scenario of coronaviurs in the country, Opposition Leader in National Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif said that the Council of Common Interests (CCI) meeting should be held on daily basis. In a statement, the opposition leaders said the increasing number of coronavirus patients suddenly is worrisome. “Turning the number of patients from hundreds into thousands is announcements of serious danger,” he added. The PML-N president said that medical supplies, equipment should be provided to doctors, nurses, medical staffs on the emergency basis. When the government will understand ‘corona’s trend’, it may be too late,” he maintained. Shehbaz Sharif also said that it is the federal government’s apathy and criminal act to neglect the provinces under such circumstances. “Neglecting provinces is the culmination of criminal acts and apathy. There is still no clarification on how the resources are distributed to the provinces,” he mentioned. The opposition leader said that all provinces including Islamabad had demanded protective clothing in February, but the prime minister refused. “Regretfully, the prime minister and his team did not do even this basic work yet. If the Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan provinces might receive Rs2.5 billion than today’s siltation was not worse than now,” he said. Shehbaz Sharif said that the prime minister and his cabinet had committed criminal negligence for not approving the budget of necessary items of province. “The government has no strategy to deal with the lockdown and its effects,” he added.
