CEC writes to COAS, seeks security for by-elections

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja has written a letter to Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, seeking security for the by-elections.

He also appreciated the cooperation extended by the Pak Army during the last elections. "The services of the Pak Army are being sought keeping in view the violent incidents," he said.

The CEC also wrote a letter to the Sindh chief minister and demanded action against the people involved in the terrorist activities in NA-240.

Meanwhile, the ECP has taken notice of the untoward incident occurred in PP-167.
