KHYBER (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that a hurdle in the Afghan peace process is a hurdle. Talking to the media after inaugurating the integrated transit trade management system on Wednesday, he claimed that the government had given Rs150 billion for the tribal areas. “The central Asian states will also benefit from the Torkham Border System. About 50 percent trade will increase after opening the Torkham border. It will also change the economic condition of the area,” he said. He said that the opposition was trying to pressurize him. “The country was burdened with loans amounting to Rs24 billion due to the NRO given by former dictator Pervez Musharraf. They openly looted the national exchequer on their return to the power,” he said. The prime minister said that the NAB and the FIA constituted the cases against each other during their tenures. “Today they have been caught. I will not give the NRO at any cost,” he said. Imran Khan said that they had looted the national exchequer mercilessly and the country was facing historic deficit due to former rulers. “Our first priority was to improve the economy.” About the Afghan peace process, he said that they had improved the relations with Afghanistan to the extent they could do. “Pakistan will be the biggest beneficiary in the Afghan peace process. The entire region will change with peace in Afghanistan,” he said. Prime Minister Imran Khan said that he would insist on dialogues for Afghan peace during his meeting with US President Donald Trump.
