Ch Nisar says ban on Save the Children not lifted; NGOs will have to work under government policies

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Interior Minister Ch Nisar has said that the ban on Save the Children has not been lifted. Talking to the media on Monday, he said that all non-government organizations (NGOs) have to work within their limits. “Action will be taken against the NGOs working against national interests,” he added. The minister said that all the NGOs will be registered under the new policy. “About 40 percent NGOs are unregistered. The Interior Ministry will look into the affairs of all NGOs. Visas will not be issued to unregistered international organizations,” he announced. Ch Nisar said that any act against national interests will not be tolerated. “NGOs will have to work under government policies,” he declared.
