Ch Nisar calls on British counterpart Theresa May, demands ban on speeches of Altaf Hussain

LONDON (92 News) – Interior Minister Ch Nisar called on his British Home Secretary Theresa May in London on Thursday. During the meeting, he presented the proofs of the hateful speeches delivered by MQM chief Altaf Hussain, demanding a ban on them. In response, British Home Secretary Theresa May demanded the custody of the accused involved in the murder of Dr Imran Farooq. Ch Nisar said that the accused of the Imran Farooq murder case would be handed over to Britain after fulfiling legal demands. Meanwhile, Ch Nisar met British National Security Advisor Kim Darroch at 1o Downing Street. They discussed Pak-Britain relations, bilateral cooperation and the situation in the region. Ch Nisar said that terrorism is a serious threat to international peace and Pakistani people and institutions are determined to eliminate it completely. He said that security situation in Pakistan has improved after implementing the National Action Plan and the Operation Zarb-e-Azb. “Our real power in the war against terrorism is national consensus,” he maintained. Ch Nisar said that durable peace, stability and progress in Pakistan were in the interest of Pakistan. “Everyone knows Pakistan’s efforts for peace in Afghanistan,” he added. "Terrorism and Islam are two opposite things. The West should understand this difference." Kim Darroch lauded Pakistani people for rendering innumerable sacrifices in the war against terrorism. He said that Britain would continue all-out cooperation for stabilizing Pakistani institutions and welfare of the people.
