Ch Nisar never criticized Dawn's controversial story, ministry clarifies

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The federal Interior Ministry has clarified that at no point during the news conference, the Interior Minister criticized Dawn for the news story. The spokesman of the Ministry in a statement on Saturday said that the interior minister's statement on the false story probe was exactly in line with government's stance. The Ministry asked a section of the media to refrain from giving their own interpretations to the Minister's words. He said that kite flying and assumptive analysis on this issue of national importance would negatively impact the ongoing probe. The spokesperson said that ethics of international journalism and reporting should be followed in letter and spirit by all the media houses and watchdogs until the completion of the inquiry into the matter.
