LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Chaudhry Sarwar has said that he will take oath as the Punjab's governor after the presidential election on September 4. Punjab governor-in-waiting said that every vote is precious even a single vote to make the president of Pakistan, saying that he will resign from Senate after the presidential election. He will take oath after casting vote to PTI's candidate for president Arif Alvi on September 4. "I have the honour of being a member of the Senate of Pakistan. I wish to fulfil my duty as a Senator & help elect Dr Arif Alvi as the President of Pakistan on Sept 4th. I will inshahallah take my oath as Governor of Punjab after that! #NayaPakistan," he said in his tweet. He was supposed to take oath as the governor of Punjab on August 28. He has pledged his support for the PTI’s candidate, Dr Arif Alvi. Now Ch Sarwar will take oath as Punjab governor on September 5 after casting vote on September 4. This is because he wants to be able to vote in the election. As a senator he gets a vote but as governor he does not.
