ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani has banned the entry of Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry to the House until an apology. In a ruling on Thursday, he ruled that the minister should tender his apology in the House. “The ban will remain intact the apology from the minister,” he ordered. The Senate chairman maintained that the Upper House has been custodian of the highest traditions and will continue to uphold it. “There has been nuisance in the House for some time. It is mandatory that we should refrain from such words and attitudes,” he ruled. Sanjrani said that the responsibility of running the House is more on the government. “Both sides should respect the leader of the house, opposition leader and chairman,” he ruled. He observed that no member should be allowed to show such allusion or attitude that hurts the respect of the House during the proceedings. “The minister should tender an apology over whatever happened yesterday.” The Senate chairman rules that the action is being taken under Senate Rule 13(3) and 264.
