Champions Trophy: Pak cricket team players leave for England

LAHORE (92 News) – Seven players of Pakistan cricket team have on Tuesday left for England to participate in the upcoming Champions Trophy.

Umer Akmal, Shoaib Malik, Muhammad Hafeez, Fakhar Zaman, Emad Waseem, Junaid Khan and Faheem Ashraf have left for England from Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore, while Ahmad Shahzad will leave for England on May 18 due to his mother’s illness.

On the other hand, One-day International Captain Sarfraz Ahmad along with six others will reach Britain from West Indies.

The green caps will play practice match against Bangladesh and Australia on May 27 and may 29 before the tournament.

Pakistan will play its first match of the Champions Trophy against arch-rivals Indian on June 4.
