PESHAWAR (92 News) – The charge-sheet against the former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) ministers including Atif Khan and Shahram Khan Tarakai has surfaced on Sunday. According to the details, the charge-sheet against Atif Khan and Shahram showed their failures in their respective ministries. Atif Khan, who was performing duties as KP Minister for Tourism, Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs, exhibited poor performance in the tourism department despite major steps taken by Islamabad. The reports stated that Atif Khan failed to promote tourism despite receiving orders from the higher authorities after spotting specific places. Moreover, he was also unsuccessful to create a tourist-friendly environment in the province besides failing to provide basic facilities to the visitors. The charge-sheet also highlighted the disappointing performance of Shahram Khan Tarakai as KP Minister for Local Government as he has failed to bring new LG laws. The lack of progress of the two ministers became a reason for the government to face serious criticism and embarrassment despite issuance of warnings many times by the KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan. The consistent failures resulted in the termination of the two ministers by the chief ministers, said sources, adding that the vacant positions will be filled soon after the appointment of new ministers. Earlier, the KP government has removed its three ministers from their positions over difference with the provincial government on Sunday. According to a notification obtained by 92 News, KP Governor Shah Farman de-notified Atif Khan, Shahram Khan Tarakai and Shakeel Ahmed as provincial ministers. It is pertinent to mention here that they were allegedly the ‘masterminds of a pressure group’. Atif was the minister of sports, culture and tourism, while Tarakai was heading the health department and Ahmed was in charge of the revenue and estate department. The notification said that Governor Farman removed the ministers under clause 3 of Article 105 of the Constitution. A copy of the notification has been forwarded to the concerned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf lawmakers. The notification further said the lawmakers were removed from the office with “immediate effect”. KP information minister Shaukat Yousafzai said the leaders had opposed the policies set by the government and involved in the grouping for a long time. He said that the ministers had been given warnings many times and the matter was also raised before Prime Minister Imran Khan. On the other hand, PM’s Adviser Shahzad Arbab said that the prime minister took the notice of matter and met with the KP chief minister and discussed this matter. PM Khan will decide as per the party vision. He also said that the inference of the bureaucracy is necessary in every government, it comes under the government. The government decides the matter but the bureaucracy tried to implements on the decision.
