Chaudhary Shujaat calls for holding local bodies elections on party basis

LAHORE (92 News) – PML-Q president Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain has demanded that the local bodies elections should be held on party basis. Talking to different delegations at his residence on Friday, he said that the PML-Q will fully participate in the local bodies elections. "The Election Commission of Pakistan in consultation with all political parties should form a code of conduct so that no one may affect the elections," he said. Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that the next general elections would be easy if such culture is promoted. Meanwhile, UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi called on Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi. During the meeting, they discussed the economic matters. Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that Pakistan is proud of the old relations with the UAE brothers. "We pay tributes to the UAE for assistance in construction of hospitals and other uplift projects," he added. Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi said that both countries should benefit from the experts of each other in different sectors.
