Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif directs Secretary Information, DGPR to improve performance

LAHORE (92 News) – Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed indignation at Secretary Information Momin Ali Agha and Director General Public Relations (DGPR) Athar Ali Khan for not presenting the performance of ministers in a better way. The chief minister said that the performance o f of the province is the best as compared to other provinces. “Both officers do not present Punjab’s performance before the public and submit the report of ‘all well’ instead,” he maintained. He asked both officers to show performance as millions of rupees being spent on them were not meant for sitting idle. Meanwhile, several ministers are also annoyed with the attitude of both officers. They say that Secretary Information Momin Ali Agha and Director General Public Relations (DGPR) Athar Ali Khan consider only chief minister the Punjab government and present CM’s performance report after every hour, but totally ignore other ministries. “This gesture puts a question mark over the performance of the government,” they said. The chief minister has directed both officers to consider all departments as Punjab’s and take steps to improve their performance. On the other hand, both the officers have assured the chief minister of complying with the order and trying their best to remove their weaknesses.
