ISLAMABAD (92 News) – As many as 20 people, including children, were killed and several others injured in different rain-related incidents across the country during the last 24 hours. Nine people were killed in Jhang, Kasur, Kabirwala, Rajanpur and Sukkur. On the other hand, nine people were killed in roof collapse incidents in Zhob and Pashin. Rain with thunderstorm is continuing in several cities of Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. As a result, low-lying areas were inundated in Lahore, Hafizabad, Faisalabad, Multan and Bahawalpur. Meanwhile, hundreds of feeders tripped due to incessant rain. Several flights were delayed due to bad weather at different airports across the country. The trains schedule was also badly affected by the rain. Meanwhile, snow emergency has been declared in Quetta, Ziarat, Qilla Abdullah and other areas. Road links to several areas were closed due to incessant rains. As a result, hundreds of vehicles were trapped in different areas. Life was paralyzed due to two-foot snowfall in Skardu, Kumrat, Lowari Top and Bin Shahi. Kohlu received heavy snowfall after 15 years. The Met Office has feared land sliding in the mountainous areas.
