Eight kids among 10 die as train hits motorcycle-rickshaw in Lodhran

LODHRAN (92 News) – At least 10 people, including eight children, were killed and several other injured when a train hit a motorcycle-rickshaw at Lodhran railway crossing on Friday. As per details, the ill-fated incident occurred when the children were heading towards their school.  Rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the bodies and injured to District Headquarters Hospital Lodhran. Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafiq took notice of the incident and ordered the concerned authorities to immediately submit an investigation report. He said that the responsible people will not be spared. Meanwhile, Punjab Governor Rafique Rajwana and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif have expressed grief and sorrow over the accident at Lodhran Railway crossing. In a statement, they condoled with the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. The Chief Minister directed concerned authorities to provide best medical facilities to the injured.
