Children going abroad in search of livelihood drowned, human smuggling must be stopped: Khawaja Asif

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that the children going abroad in search of livelihood drowned and human smuggling must be stopped.

Expressing his views over the boat tragedy in Greece on Monday, he said that the links of human smugglers are also found in Libya and Turkey. "The Greece coast guards expressed apathy and did not save the drowning persons," he added.

He said that the May 9 incidents exposed the real face of the PTI before the people. "Some people lobbied abroad instead of condemning the May 9 incidents," he maintained.

Khawaja Asif also apologized for using the word of dacoit for the vice-chancellors, demanding that these words should be expunged from the proceedings of the National Assembly. "I highly respect teachers and education institutions. Corruption has become a tradition in our country. There is much more politics in educational institutions than this House," he added.

Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf ordered to expunge these words and directed all members to use appropriate words in the House.
