China is a role model for poverty alleviation in world: PM Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that China is a role model for poverty alleviation in the world.

Addressing a virtual forum in China on Friday, he said that poverty has increased over the decades. "Poverty has risen sharply in 2020. The coronavirus  epidemic has caused problems around the world. The world is facing food shortage and insecurity. China has lifted 800 million people out of poverty," he maintained.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that lands could be saved from becoming barren through technology. "We are moving towards a clean and green Pakistan. We have started a 10 billion tree program. We have planted more than a billion trees. Hopefully our actions will improve the environment," he concluded.
