China June trade surplus with US highest on record

BEIJING (Reuters) - China’s trade surplus with the United States in June rose to $28.97 billion versus $24.58 billion the previous month, Chinese customs data on Friday showed. The surplus was the highest ever with the US for any single month, according to Reuters calculations based on official data going back to 2008. China’s Jan-June trade surplus with the US was $133.76 billion, the data showed.
