China supports any measures aimed at easing Pak-India escalation
BEIJING (92 News) – Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang said on Monday Beijing supports any measures aimed at easing tensions between Pakistan and India.
Addressing a news briefing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman has said that China is maintaining contact with both the sides Islamabad and New Delhi to help achieve this goal.
“China hopes that India and Pakistan, which are important countries in South Asia, will be able to resolve the relevant problems via friendly dialogue and negotiations. In order to reduce tensions [in the region], China maintains close contacts with both India and Pakistan,” Lu Kang said.
The spokesman also commented on the proposal made during talks between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Pakistani counterpart, Shah Mehmood Qureshi. According to the plan, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) mechanisms could be used to resolve the existing crisis in the region.
“China supports any constructive measures that would contribute to maintaining peace and stability in the region and reducing tensions between New Delhi and Islamabad,” he stated.
Turkish president offers cooperation to reduce tension b/w Pak, India
Earlier today, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says he has offered cooperation to reduce tension between Pakistan and India.
While addressing to the nation, he said that he also spoke to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Pak-India tension. The Turkish president said Pakistan has a special place in the hearts of Turkish nation. He said our Pakistani brothers always stood by Turkey in difficult times.
“We can never forget their support in Tehreek-e-Khilafat,” he mentioned.
Erdogan hails PM Imran’s statesman-like offers to India for peace
On Thursday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan congratulated Prime Minister Imran Khan on his speech at the joint parliament session and his statesman-like offers to India for de-escalating the situation and working towards peace.
The Turkish president phoned PM Imran Khan and said Islam is a religion of peace that underscores resolving disputes in a peaceful manner.
Erdogan hailed the announcement by the Prime Minister to release the captured Indian Air Force pilot and pointed out that this gesture was a sign of strength.
