ISLAMABAD (92 News) – All the dignitaries who visited China recently have tested negative for coronavirus. A delegation led by President Dr Arif Alvi had visited China on two-day tour on March 16 and 17. The delegation included Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Minister for Planning Asad Umar. China has in principle informed the Pakistan Foreign Ministry in this regard. Before their departure to China, they underwent the coronavirus tests which remained negative. Upon his arrival, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had announced self-isolation. Talking to the media, the minister revealed that he was going into self-isolated quarantine after concluding his recent trip to China. “I will quarantine myself for five days and then will go for the necessary tests related to the coronavirus.” He also maintained that the coronavirus will not be detrimental to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the project will continue to flourish with the same vigour as in the past. Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the people of Pakistan stand beside their Chinese brethren during their hour of need and the relationship between the two countries was etched in stone.
