Chinese envoy hopes COVID-19 to come under control soon in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing hoped that coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic will come under control soon in Pakistan. Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad on Sunday, the Chinese ambassador assured that the medical team from his country visiting Pakistan will share their knowledge and expertise with their Pakistani counterparts to deal with the threat of coronavirus. “Pakistan is our deep friend and first priority to come out of this crisis,” Yao Jing said. He expressed hope that pandemic will come under control soon in Pakistan. The Chinese envoy further said situation in Wuhan is improving fast with life returning to normalcy and we are also trying to replicate the same experience in Pakistan too. Earlier today, another special plane of China carrying medical supplies regarding Coronavirus pandemic arrived Islamabad this morning. Chairman NDMA Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal received the supplies from Ambassador of China to Pakistan at the airport. Earlier, Dr Zafar Mirza has said that world has learnt a lot from China regarding the prevention and control of communicable diseases coronavirus (COVID-19). Briefing the team of Chinese doctors at National Institute of Health in Islamabad on Sunday, the special assistant hoped that Pakistani health professionals will learn from their Chinese counterparts to stem the tide against coronavirus.
Pakistan is highly impressed from China
“Pakistan is highly impressed with the way Chinese government dealt with coronavirus by putting in place appropriate measures at appropriate time to contain the severity of the killer bug,” Dr Zafar Mirza maintained. He also said spread of coronavirus and ensuing loss of life could have been very high in China, if it was not stemmed by hard efforts of Chinese health professionals.
China has written a new chapter in history
Zafar Mirza said China has written a new chapter in history of public health by putting around 60 million people under quarantine. He said world has learnt a lot from China regarding the prevention and control of communicable diseases.
