ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) has directed the people to limit the Friday congregations as well as five-time prayers. Talking to the media on Thursday, CII Chairman Qibla Ayaz said that coronavirus has no religion or sect. “The people dying in the epidemic should be called martyrs. Close relatives should be allowed to attend the funeral prayers for the coronavirus patients,” he added. The CII endorsed the government’s directions to deal with coronavirus. “The steps taken by the Health Department are commendable,” it added. It urged the people not to give the coronavirus the colour of sectarianism and such people should be rejected.
