Cipher case: Court postpones indictment of PTI chairman, Qureshi until Oct 23

RAWALPINDI (92 News) - Official Secret Act Special Court Judge Abu Al-Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain postponed the indictment of the PTI chairman and vice-chairman in the cipher case till October 23.

The counsels for the PTI chairman and Shah Mahmood Qureshi had objected to the proceedings, contending that they had not yet received the copies of the case.

Sher Afzal Marwat, counsel for the PTI chairman, told the media that the judge had informed that the next hearing would be held in a big room. "Statements of 22 people who held a press conference on May 9 had been taken under section 164 and hence the PTI chairman will be sent to a military court," he added.
