LAHORE (92 News) – The authorities arrested five shopkeepers on the charge of selling chicken at a high rate. People told 92 News that chicken was sold at Rs260 per kg instead of Rs360 per kg. They said that they are forced to buy chicken at exorbitant rates due to non-implementation of the government-fixed prices. Punjab Minister for Industry Mian Aslam Iqbal said that the government would not talk to the association. “Shopkeepers will have to sell chicken at Rs260 per kg, the price decided during talks with the authorities,” he said. Deputy Commissioner Danish Afzaal was also present on the occasion.
