CJ orders to remove General Hospital's principal

LAHORE (92 News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar on Saturday ordered to remove Prof Dr Ghiasun Nabi Tayyab as principal of Lahore General Hospital. According to the details, the chief justice directed to appoint the most senior officer as new principal of General Hospital. Saqib Nisar ordered the Punjab health secretary to appoint new principal through independent search committee within two month. The chief justice ordered that the Health Department should take the approval of independent search committee from the court. Earlier on Friday, Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar paid a visit to General Hospital. Justice Ijazul Ahsan and Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Saeed and Secretary Health Najam Shah accompanied him. They visited the Emergency Department and various wards of the hospital, and examined the facilities available to patients there. The chief justice also listened to complaints of patients and issued instructions to the hospital administration on-the-spot.
