LAHORE (92 News) – Chief justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar expressed dissatisfaction at the Shaheen Air official's response on stranded Pakistani in China and has summoned the owner of Shaheen Air on August 7. A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by the chief justice heard the suo moto case regarding 300 Pakistani stranded in China at the Lahore Registry today. During the hearing, the airline's regional director informed the bench that all airlines, with the exception of Saudi airlines, had been cancelled at Guangzhou airport. The official also told the court that only Shaheen Air operates flights from Lahore to Guangzhou. Expressing his dissatisfaction at the official's response, the chief justice ordered Shaheen Air to ensure all stranded passengers are brought back to Pakistan before Monday. The SC ordered the owner of Shaheen Air to appear before it on August 7 and directed the CAA to make available a report on the condition of the plane sent to fetch the passengers from China. A day earlier, the CJP took notice of the matter of over 300 Pakistani passengers stranded in China and ordered to hold the hearing of the case on Friday. The CJ took notice of the incident over media reports which revealed that at least 300 Pakistani passengers were stranded in Guangzhou city of China. The passengers had to reach Pakistan through a private airline on July 29 but they were facing difficulties due to delay in flights after some technical issues.
