CJP dismisses Nawaz Sharif's appeal for merger of three references

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar has dismissed Nawaz Sharif's appeal for the merger of three references during the in-chamber hearing on Thursday. The registrar office had objected to the petition filed in the Supreme Court and Nawaz Sharif had filed an appeal against it. The CJP remarked that Nawaz Sharif had already used the option of the review petition against the Panama Leaks verdict. Nawaz's counsel Khawaja Harris said they were not expecting this decision, adding that such appeals are usually heard in open court.
