ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa has expressed his anger at the Faizabad Sit-in Commission report, observing that no finding was visible in the report that wasted nation's time only.

Hearing the case on Monday, the CJP remarked: "We are disappointed at this situation. It seems that the commission members did not come out of their office. The report does not come up to the expectations of the Terms of Reference (ToRs)," he observed.

The CJP remarked that nobody cares for the loss of Pakistan. "It has become the right to 'set on fire' and beat up. Beat up, arson and go to home. What is this method?"

He observed that the May 9 incident would have not occurred had the Faizabad sit-in judgment implemented.

"The commission totally ignored the May 12 sit-in. The Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) should have been summoned and their version should have been taken. People from whom weapons were recovered were not summoned. The report carrying only verbosity has been submitted to court. We have not endorsed it yet. It is now up to the government whether it accepts it or not," he observed.

The CJP observed that General (retd) Faiz had been mentioned in the report for several times. "It seems that all has been done to acquit General (retd) Faiz only. For how many times General (retd) Faiz was summoned?" he questioned.

At this, the attorney general replied that a reply to the sent questionnaire was received. The PEMRA former chairman Absar Alam also came to the rostrum and said that he had also been mentioned in the report.

"According to Absar Alam, General (retd) Faiz had contacted him, while report states that there is no proof of the General Faiz's contact with Absar Alam. The commission members should have made both sit face-to-face and write down the conclusion after putting question to them," the CJP remarked.

Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan remarked that the commission is taking the statement of Absar Alam on oath, but not taking the statement of General (retd) Faiz.
