CJP Saqib Nisar takes suo motu notice of housemaid’s torture

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar has taken suo motu notice of the torture of a housemaid by the wife of an additional sessions judge. He has sought a report from the IHC registrar on the incident and an agreement between both parties within 24 hours. Tayyaba, 10, stated before a magistrate that the family of Additional Sessions Judge Raja Khurram Ali Khan had tortured her for misplacing a broom. The IHC Chief Justice Anwar Khan Kasi took notice and ordered the registrar to investigate the matter. Meanwhile, a medical board comprising of PIMS doctors has been constituted for the examination of the housemaid. The medical board has been constituted after the notice of the CJP.
