CJP summons Judicial Commission meeting on October 24 to appoint new SC judges

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Umar Ata Bandial has summoned the Judicial Commission meeting on October 24 to appoint new judges in the Supreme Court.

The Chief Justice has recommended the names of four judges of the High Court for the Supreme Court. These include Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Athar Minallah, Lahore High Court Justice Shahid Waheed, Sindh High Court Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi and Justice Shafi Siddiqui for appointment as judges in the Supreme Court.

Earlier, in the meeting held on July 28, the names of Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Qaiser Rasheed, Lahore High Court Justice Shahid Waheed, Sindh High Court Justice Azhar Rizvi, Justice Shafi Siddique and Justice Nimat were considered.
