CJP takes notice on sale of fake stents in Lahore

LAHORE (92 News) – Taking an action on the news aired on 92 News regarding the sale of unregistered stents for heart patients in various hospitals of Lahore, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar took a suo moto notice of the matter on Tuesday and ordered a report from Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). Reportedly, substandard and expensive stents were being used for heart patients in Lahore. The CJP ordered the FIA director general to submit a complete and comprehensive report on the substandard stents being used in all the government hospitals of Punjab, including Lahore. On the other hand, the CJP also took a suo moto notice of alleged torture on young housemaid Abida in Lahore. Justice Saqib ordered a report from Punjab IG regarding the matter in three days.
