LAHORE (92 News) – The Punjab government has decided to hold the classes of Grade 5-10 students in the first phase. The decision was made during a meeting between Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas and representatives of private schools on Tuesday. Murad Raas said that all school owners had assured full cooperation and implementation of the government policies. "The coronavirus situation has improved, but the threat still exists," he added. He said that the private schools will have to train their teachers and other staffers to protect against coronavirus. "The present situation is unusual. Each stakeholder will have to play its positive role to deal with this epidemic," he maintained. According to the SOPs, all students will not attend the classes simultaneously. The students attending the classes will take a holiday the next day. Moreover, the School Education Department has sought a plan to call students to schools from August 25. The decision to call students from Nursery to Class 4 will be made later on. School owners presented their suggestions with regard to reopening of schools.
