CM assures South Punjab MPAs of removing their reservations

LAHORE (92 News) – Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif met the MPAs belonging to South Punjab on Tuesday. He assured the MPAs of redressing their reservations. The chief minister said that the party vote bank in South Punjab has increased due to performance of the MPAs. He claimed that the past governments had used the slogan of making South Punjab a province for their political purposes. “But we took practical steps,” he said. Shehbaz Sharif said that resolutions were passed to restore the Bahawalpur province and establishment of South Punjab province. “No other party passed the resolutions,” he said. He claimed that development projects worth Rs 239 billion are being completed in South Punjab. The MPAs said that resources amounting to billions of rupees have been provided for the prosperity of the people. Federal Minister Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari, Muhammad Baleeghur Rahman, Abdur Rahman Kanju, Senator Saud Majeed and PA Deputy Speaker Sardar Sher Ali Gochani attended the meeting. Kazim Ali Pirzada, Amir Hayat Hiraj, Chaudhry Karam Dad Wahla, Irfan Khan Daha and Ahmed Ali Aulakh also met the chief minister. Provincial ministers Rana Mashood Ahmed, Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan, MNA Dr Hafeezur Rahman Dareshak, Aslam Bodla, Iftikhar Nazir, Sardar Asif Hussain Mazari, Sahibzada Faizul Hassan, Mian Najeebuddin Awaisi and Saqlain Shah were also present.
