CM Bazdar recommends deployment of independent observers at Punjab, Sindh barrages

LAHORE (92 news) - Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar on Sunday recommended the deployment of independent observers at Punjab and Sindh barrages.

The statement of CM Buzdar came after a row between provinces over water theft. In order to obtain accurate data on water release, he said that the deployment of independent observers would help in ensuring just distribution of water among provinces. “It will also help in addressing misunderstandings over water distribution,” he added.

The Punjab CM also invited the Sindh parliamentarians to visit barrages in Punjab. “Parliamentarians from across the country especially from Sindh should visit barrages in the province,” Usman Buzdar.

The chief minister further said that the parliamentarians could witness the water distribution and reporting system of release data. He also said that the Sindh province should also invite our lawmakers to their barrages.
