CM Buzdar directs crackdown against black-marketer of Corona medicines

LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar has directed for indiscriminate crackdown against involved in black marketing of coronavirus medicines. In a statement issued from Lahore on Wednesday, CM Buzdar directed to take stern action against hoarders of Actemra injection and essential medicines. Earlier, Punjab CM Usman Buzdar announced to conduct 6,000 coronavirus tests daily in the province. Briefing the media through the video link, Sardar Usman Buzdar said that the Punjab government does not face shortage of testing kits. He said that there are 6,859 confirmed coronavirus patients in the province. “So far 90,000 tests have been conducted and deaths in the province are 115,” he added. The Punjab chief minister said that 90 percent devotees and Tableeghi Jamaat members have left for their homes after the treatment. He said that he had ordered an inquiry into complaints lodged by people coming from abroad. “A recommendation will be sent to the federal government to quarantine the people coming from abroad at home,” he added. Sardar Usman Buzdar said that smart sampling had been started in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Gujranwala and Gujrat. “Test samples will be taken from different private and government institutions,” he said. He said that eight laboratories are functional in the province for the tests. “So far an amount of Rs34 billion has been distributed among 2.8 million families,” he added.
