CM Buzdar seeks detailed report from chief secretary on Ramzan Bazaars matter

LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Chief Minister' Special Assistant Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Monday has met Punjab CM Sardar Usman Buzdar and discussed Assistant Commissioner (AC) Sialkot Sonia Sadaf issue.

 During the meeting, the special assistant presented report on the condition of Ramzan Bazaars in Sialkot and briefed the CM over substandard eatables being sold there. The chief secretary was also present in the meeting.

The CM has sought detailed report from the chief secretary in this regard.

Earlier today, Punjab Chief Secretary Jawad Malik condemned the rude behaviour with the Sialkot Assistant Commissioner Sonia Sadaf in Sasta Ramazan Bazar.

In a statement, he said that Assistant Commissioner Sonia Sadaf and other administrative officers are present on the frontline despite the pandemic. "It is condemnable to use immoral language against any officer."

He said that the administrative officers are in the field round-the-clock, which is laudable. "We salute untiring courage and struggle of all officers. We have conveyed our reservations about the regrettable incident to Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar," he added.

Meanwhile, PML-N MPA Mian Abdur Rauf has submitted an adjournment movement in the Punjab Assembly seeking removal of Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan.

He said that Firdous Ashiq Awan had misbehaved with Assistant Commissioner Sonia Sadaf.

He demanded that Firdous Ashiq Awan should be immediately removed.
