KARACHI (92 News) – The Chief Minister House in Karachi denied the arrest of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM) chief Farooq Sattar on Saturday.

The CM House spokesman said that the police went to arrest Farooq Sattar but he had already escaped.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Dr Arif Alvi, while commenting on the matter, said that the arrest of Farooq Sattar is a joke.

“The government is not serious in any matter,” Alvi said.

MQM-Pakistan chief Farooq Sattar was arrested by the police from PAF Museum late on Friday in cases pertaining to August 22 inflammatory speech of MQM founder Altaf Hussain. Farooq Sattar’s personal assistant and Ali Raza Abidi confirmed his arrest.
