CM increases amount of Rehmatul-lil-Alameen Scholarship to Rs one billion

LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, during Ashra Shan-e-Rehmatul-lil-Alameen, has announced to increase the amount of Rehmatul-lil-Alameen Scholarship from Rs 50 crore to Rs one billion this year.

The chief minister said that 10,574 needy but intelligent students have been awarded financial assistance under the Rehmatul-lil-Alameen Scholarship whereas 677 more scholarships will be awarded under the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF).

Usman Buzdar said that 'Seerat Chair' has been constituted in Bahauddin Zakaria University Multan, Islamia University Bahawalpur, Ghazi University DG Khan, Government College University Faisalabad, University of Chakwal and Okara University, which provide support to the researchers for the research.

He further stated that under Ashra Shan-e-Rehmatul-lil-Alameen celebrations are being carried out in 36 districts of Punjab. "By celebrating Ashra Shan-e-Rehmatul-lil-Alameen, we will give message to the rest of the world that Greatness of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is beyond human thinking and imagination. He is the last Prophet and expressing the glory of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is part of our faith," he concluded.
