LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has announced to celebrate Ashra Shan-e-Rehmatul-lil-Alameen (PBUH) from 1st to 12 Rabiul Awal across the province.

During this period, a host of celebrations will be held including the central Rehmatul-lil-Alameen conference, international mashaikh ulema conference and Milad-e-Mustafa. Similarly, Na'atia mushaira, Na'at competition, calligraphic exhibitions will also be held at the provincial level.

Special meals will be presented to inmates of old houses, orphanages, hospitals and shelter homes. Parliamentarians will attend ceremonies in their districts. A special documentary will be made and officials of law enforcement agencies will be given medals, attributed to Rehmatul-lil-Alameen, for showing exemplary performance.

Addressing a press conference on Friday, the chief minister maintained that no pen or words could ever express the esteemed reverence of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

"It is a great honour and bliss for Muslims to praise Shan-e-Rehmatul-lil-Alameen. 10 days are fixed to describe the Shan-e-Rehmatul-lil-Alameen but I am of the considered opinion that celebrations spanning over 12 days are not enough for it," he maintained.
