LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Monday ordered a crackdown against hoarders and profiteers. During a meeting to review the uplift projects going on Dera Ghazi Khan and South Punjab, he expressed his indignation at the use of substandard material in the uplift projects. The chief minister ordered the officers to show zero tolerance towards corruption. “The Price Control Committee should ensure the provision of daily-use items at fixed rates,” he said. Sardar Usman Buzdar said that they would go the last extent to provide a relief to the masses in the province. He lauded the role of Ulema and Mushaikh for implementing anti-coronavirus measures. He also announced a relief grant of Rs100 million for the lawyers community. He said that the provincial government had taken effective measures to overcome coronavirus as Pakistan is facing unusual circumstances due to this pandemic. He said that daily coronavirus testing capacity had reached 5,000, which will be soon enhanced to 10,000 daily. He urged the MNAs to remain in contact with their district administration and monitor the actions taken against hoarders and illegal profiteers. “They should also supervise anti-dengue and Clean and Green Punjab Programme along with a review of healthcare facilities being provided in the hospitals.” Chief Minister Usman Buzdar approved initial framework of Rise Punjab to promote investment and development in the wake of coronavirus pandemic. Chairman P&D presented the document of the framework in a meeting which held at 90-SQA under the chair of CM Usman Buzdar on Monday. Meanwhile, Custodian to Sundar Sharif Shrine Pir Syed Muhammad Habib Irfani called on Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar.
