CNS Open Asian Tour Golf Championship teed off in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – The Chief of the Naval Staff Open Asian Tour Golf Championship 2018 is being played from October 11 to 14 at Karachi Golf Club and will herald the return of international golf to Pakistan after a gap of 11 years. This was announced by Patron PN Golf (South) Commodore Mushtaq Ahmed during a media brief held at Karachi Golf Club on Wednesday. International golfers representing various countries along with national golfers are participating in the championship. Panel of international officials is also covering the event. Chief Operating Officer Asian Tour Cho Minn Thant, Sohail Shams, Chief Executive UMA (lead sponsor), co-sponsors, worthy international and national players, officials and representatives of print & electronic media were also present on the occasion. Subsequently, COO Asian Tour along with sponsors joined ceremonial tee-off. A match of PRO/ AM was also held at KGC as Shotgun Start of the championship. The CNS Open Asian Tour Golf Championship 2018 will be played in the professionals category as per Asian Tour and PGF Policy and will be contested over a period of four days for which a sum of $ 300,000/- is being offered as prize money. In addition, prize for hole-in-one includes Toyota Fortuner SUV Car as 1st hole-in-one and Suzuki 600cc Heavy Bike as 2nd hole-in-one.
