Coalition govt plans to take more time for election campaign by dissolving assembly early

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The coalition government is planning to take more time for the election campaign by dissolving the assembly early, disclosed sources.

The proposal was discussed during the delegation level meeting between PDM chairman Maulana Fazalur Rehman and the PPP delegation.

The constitutional tenure of the National Assembly will expire on August 13. According to sources, the government wants to dissolve the assembly on August 9 or 10. In the wake of the dissolution of the assembly before time, there is an option of conducting the elections within 90 days instead of 60 days.

A meeting of the coalition parties heads will be held for the final decision after Eid.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is likely to visit London in the next week to meet PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif. The sources said that key decisions will be made keeping in the view country's political situation.
