COAS Bajwa calls on Qatari minister of defence affairs during official visit

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa called on Qatar’s Minister of Defence Affairs Doctor Khalid Bin Muhammad Al-Attiya during his official visit to Qatar on Monday.   Both of them discussed matters of regional security and enhanced bilateral defence cooperation.   The Qatari minister appreciated the professional standing and performance of Pakistan Army and expressed desire for increased Pakistan-Qatar defence collaboration.   The COAS also met Chief of Staff Qatar Armed Forces Lieutenant General Muhammad Bin Ali Al-Ghanim. The Qatari chief of staff acknowledged Pakistan Army's valuable contributions towards regional peace and stability through its fight against terrorism and militancy.   The army chief thanked both dignitaries for their expressions. He said that Pakistan Army greatly values its defence cooperation and collaboration with Qatar.   Responding to desire of increasing Pak-Qatar defence cooperation, the COAS said that proposed enhancement will have positive impact both on bilateral relationship as well as on regional security.
